Volunteers are being recruited as Fall Heritage Festival gears up for its 2025 Festival. Volunteers are an essential part of bringing this FREE family-friendly event to Cowan.
Committee Planning Meetings start in January, and are held at 6 pm on the third Thursday of each month at the Cowan Center for the Arts Training Center at 303 Montgomery St. (1 block behind City Hall). Meetings become more frequent as the Festival approaches.
Volunteer forms will be loaded here shortly.
“This event could not operate without volunteers,” states Mark Ledbetter, chairman of the Festival Committee. “They are the local heroes that help us provide a fun-filled weekend to the community. I want to publicly thank all our volunteers for their dedication and continued hard work.”
Whatever your skill, opportunities are available, including but not limited to the following:
• Kids activities
• Booth sitters and go-fers during festival
• Set-up and break-down vendors before and after the festival
• Runners on standby for whatever is needed
Please note: Some volunteer positions will require heavy lifting. Other may require specialized knowledge, particularly those dealing with festival electrical set-up and teardown, and with staffing the entertainment stages. Volunteers for these positions will need to have their qualifications evaluated by the festival chair to verify their ability to fulfill the tasks they've volunteered for.
